Job Summary

Wheel King Trans Haul Inc. is looking for a proactive, detail-focused Asset-Based Customs Coordinator to support fleet operations. The role is centered on keeping the company’s tractor-trailer assets moving efficiently across international borders, while handling customs clearance tasks, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting drivers during cross-border movements.

Fleet Border Clearance & Documentation

Prepare and submit e-manifests, including ACE/ACI filings, and manage PARS/PAPS barcode requirements so border crossings remain compliant and timely.
Review commercial invoices, bills of lading, and HS codes for accuracy, and enter all relevant information into the company TMS.

Driver & Dispatch Coordination

Give drivers live support on border procedures and paperwork requirements as they move through cross-border operations.
Work with dispatch to reduce truck idle time and monitor vehicle movement through telematics systems.

Regulatory Compliance & Liaison

Act as the main point of contact with CBSA and CBP, and quickly work through any holds or documentation issues.
Maintain full cross-border compliance by keeping records precise and up to date.

Role Requirements

1 to 3 years of experience handling customs processes in an asset-based trucking or transportation setting.
A background in logistics, supply chain, or a similar field is preferred.
Strong English communication skills for coordinating with drivers and government agencies.

Technical Skills

Hands-on knowledge of ACE/ACI systems and border documentation workflows.
Experience with telematics tools such as Samsara.
Working knowledge of TMS platforms.
Comfort using MS Office and performing accurate data entry.

Core Competencies

Ability to act quickly and solve problems under tight deadlines.
Comfort working in high-pressure operational situations.
