Role overview
Accelerec Ltd. is growing its fiber-optic FTTH rollout and is seeking experienced civil construction teams or individual specialists who can join new crews right away. The company is especially interested in complete crews, but individual candidates with the right expertise are also welcome.
The work focuses on trenching, laying microducts and fiber cables, operating machinery, and restoring surfaces such as pavements and road finishes after the network installation is completed.
Open roles within the crew
This opportunity includes positions for pavers and civil workers who can handle professional surface reinstatement work, including asphalt, paving stones, slabs, and sidewalks, along with support for manual civil works, trench backfilling, and site preparation.
Key responsibilities
Candidates will be involved in trench creation and surface opening for FTTH deployment, installation of sub-ducts and fiber optic cables, and setting up construction sites in line with safety rules such as RSA 21. The role also includes restoring walkways, driveways, and road surfaces to their original state, as well as carrying out basic daily checks and upkeep of assigned vehicles and machinery.
Candidate profile
The employer is looking for people with solid experience in civil engineering, road construction, or underground cable construction. Applicants should be able to understand basic construction or route drawings, work reliably in physically demanding outdoor conditions, and collaborate well as part of a team.
For driving duties, a valid German or EU driving licence class C/CE or C1E with Code 95 is required. For machine operators, a valid excavator or machinery licence and hands-on experience with mini excavators are expected.
Basic German communication ability is important for site coordination and safety; B1 is preferred, while A2 to B1 is noted as useful for daily operations. English is an added advantage. Candidates must also have legal permission to work in Germany, and they should be willing to travel and work across different project regions when needed.
