About the Nursery

Kiddi Caru Exeter, part of Grandir UK, is hiring a caring and upbeat Early Years Assistant for its Sowton nursery. The role sits within a child-centred environment where you will help nurture children, spark curiosity and support their day-to-day development. The nursery promotes a friendly, respectful and encouraging workplace with room to grow.

Pay

The hourly rate is £12.71, depending on experience and qualifications, and is subject to regular pay reviews.

What the Role Involves

You will support the care, supervision and development of children in the nursery, working closely with qualified practitioners and helping maintain a positive, welcoming setting.

• Act as a positive role model in line with Grandir UK values.
• Help ensure equal access and opportunity for staff, parents and children.
• Keep children supervised and supported at all times.
• Contribute to a warm, attractive and inviting nursery environment.
• Prepare and help oversee activities under the direction of Level 3 qualified practitioners.
• Follow company policies, procedures and day-to-day operating practices.
• Adapt to updates in policies and procedures within the required timeframe.
• Make sure nursery practice meets Early Years Foundation Stage requirements.
• Escalate concerns or issues about policies, procedures or operational practices to your line manager.
• Maintain a professional, positive approach with children, parents, visitors and colleagues.
• Protect confidentiality where needed.
• Take part in staff meetings, planning sessions and training when required.
