Area Maintenance Manager – MFC (Cracker)

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of maintenance execution for the Mixed Feed Cracker (MFC) / Steam Cracker area, with a focus on safe, dependable, and efficient plant performance aligned to company standards.
• Oversee maintenance work across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and rotating equipment systems, covering preventive, predictive, corrective, and shutdown-related activities.
• Make sure all maintenance work is properly carried out and documented through the CMMS platform.
• Work closely with the Planning & Scheduling and Reliability functions to improve maintenance strategies, analyze bad actors, and drive reliability enhancements.
• Direct maintenance preparation and field execution for turnarounds, large shutdowns, and urgent repair situations.
• Supervise daily maintenance crews and contractors while maintaining full compliance with HSE expectations.
• Compile weekly maintenance updates and contribute to maintenance review discussions.
• Build team skills through technical guidance and role-based training in partnership with HR.

Requirements

• Applicants must be Saudi nationals.
• Hands-on maintenance experience in Ethylene Cracker / MFC units is mandatory; candidates without direct cracker maintenance exposure will not be considered.
• For a diploma holder, at least 15 years of maintenance experience in oil & gas or petrochemical environments is required.
• For a high school qualification, at least 20 years of maintenance experience in oil & gas or petrochemical environments is required.
• For a bachelor’s degree holder, at least 10 years of maintenance experience in oil & gas or petrochemical environments is required.
• Strong working knowledge of gas turbines, compressors, pumps, furnaces, heat exchangers, boilers, columns, piping networks, and critical rotating machinery used in cracker facilities.
• Demonstrated experience handling plant turnarounds, shutdowns, maintenance contracting, and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Solid understanding of CMMS, maintenance planning, RBI, RCA, and predictive maintenance methods.
• Proven leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
• Ability to achieve business goals in a multicultural work environment.
