About the internship

This remote internship is for an AI Engineer Intern who will help build product features end-to-end, from development through deployment. The role is suited to someone who can write clean, scalable, production-ready code and is comfortable learning new technologies as the work demands.

The internship focuses on creating AI-enabled functionality within applications, solving technical problems independently, and contributing to a fast-moving startup team with strong ownership and code quality standards.

Key responsibilities

Design and ship product features across the full development lifecycle.
Write maintainable, scalable code that is ready for production use.
Pick up and apply new tools or technologies when needed.
Develop and plug AI-driven capabilities into software products.
Work through technical issues on your own efficiently.
Coordinate with teammates to deliver quality releases on time.
Test, deploy, and support applications so they remain dependable and performant.
Improve application speed and investigate/fix bugs.
Use Git effectively and follow good version-control practices.
Own assigned work and contribute reliably in a startup environment.

Eligibility

Applications are open only to candidates who can work from home, can begin between 9 July 2026 and 13 August 2026, are available for the full 6-month duration, and have relevant skills and interests.

Other requirements

Hands-on experience with the MERN stack is expected.
Front-end development knowledge with React.js or Next.js is preferred.
Solid back-end development experience using Node.js and Express.js is required.
Good understanding of PostgreSQL schema design, querying, and optimization is needed.
Comfort with Git and GitHub collaboration workflows is necessary.
Ability to deploy applications independently is required.
Experience integrating and working with RESTful APIs is important.
Basic familiarity with AI APIs, AI agents, and automation workflows is preferred.
