Account Development Representative - English Speaking

Role Overview

MongoDB’s Account Development group partners closely with Sales and Marketing to generate strong customer interest in the company’s platform. In this position, you will focus on spotting and qualifying new business opportunities for the sales organization. The role is seen as a strong pathway into a long-term career in sales, with Account Development Representatives considered the next generation of Account Executives at MongoDB.

This position is intended for candidates based in Dublin and follows a hybrid working setup.

What You’ll Do

• Research and identify promising companies within your territory that could be a strong match for MongoDB.
• Partner with the Sales team to design and run inbound and outbound campaigns, from early ideas through to qualified conversations.
• Build solid knowledge of the product, the market, and the sales process.
• Communicate with technical and business decision-makers by phone and email.
• Keep lead and prospect records current in Salesforce so the pipeline is managed effectively.
• Arrange qualified introductory meetings for Sales colleagues.
• Develop early-stage opportunities so they can grow into future pipeline.
• Consistently meet and exceed monthly and quarterly opportunity targets.
• Work closely with Marketing and Account Executives to improve outcomes for the business.
• Continuously invest in your own growth by strengthening the capabilities that support success in the role and beyond.

What We’re Looking For

• A proactive self-starter with a history of achieving and surpassing targets.
• Excellent English communication skills at native level.
• Strong time management and the ability to work independently or with coaching.
• Comfort in a fast-moving, high-growth environment.
• Genuine enthusiasm for advanced technology and the ability to quickly learn new software and understand business-critical solutions.

Preferred Background

• Strong academic record, ideally a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or a related discipline.
• Prior success in sales, business development, or customer-facing roles in a target-driven environment, preferably within technology.
• Exposure to databases, web servers, and open-source technology.
• Hands-on experience using Salesforce.com.
