Role overview

What the job involves
- Help unload incoming deliveries and check that the received items match the paperwork.
- Pack and prepare outbound shipments with correct labels and accurate contents.
- Work with drivers and logistics staff to ensure goods leave on schedule.
- Track inventory through regular stock checks and record updates.
- Place items in their assigned storage areas and keep goods arranged in a logical way.
- Flag stock differences, shortages, or any inventory concerns to the Warehouse Manager.
- Store products safely and securely to reduce the risk of damage or loss.
- Keep the warehouse layout organized so items can be reached quickly and efficiently.
- Sort, label, and classify items for easier identification and retrieval.
- Maintain cleanliness across the warehouse and keep work areas orderly.
- Remove waste and packaging in the proper manner.
- Carry out basic checks on warehouse tools and equipment and report any faults.
- Support stock audits and cycle counts when required.
- Assist other teams with handling materials and logistics tasks when needed.
- Take on additional duties assigned by the Warehouse Manager or Supervisor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or an equivalent qualification.
- Prior warehouse or logistics experience is preferred, though it is not essential.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for long periods.
- Basic computer literacy for inventory tracking and record maintenance.
- Good planning, organization, and time-management skills.
- Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driving licence may be needed.
- Forklift certification is considered an advantage, but it is not required.
