About the Company

Benefit is the brand behind well-known favourites like Benetint, The POREfessional, and BADgal BANG!, and it proudly holds the position of the world’s leading brow brand. The company’s philosophy is that beauty should be uplifting and fun, helping people feel confident while still enjoying a light-hearted approach.

Benefit Cosmetics is hiring a creative, highly organised, and practical Visual Merchandising & Design Coordinator to elevate the brand’s in-store experience across Australia and New Zealand.

About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Visual Merchandising Manager, this position supports the execution of the commercial marketing strategy across Australia and New Zealand. It is well suited to someone who combines retail know-how, visual design ability, project coordination skills, and a strong eye for detail. The role is ideal for a person looking to grow their career in the beauty sector while working in a fast-moving, hands-on environment.

Visual Merchandising Production

  • Coordinate the full development cycle of campaign assets, including lightbox graphics, tester units, attention-grabbing in-store tools, artwork creation, briefing, cost requests, sampling, prototype handling, and distribution or installation.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to make sure campaigns are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Adjust planograms to suit different store formats.
  • Support budget tracking, invoice processing, and purchase order creation for the team.
  • Build and deliver 360-degree campaign trade briefs for retailers such as Myer, Sephora NZ, and Travel Retail, outlining tools and activation support.
  • Coordinate the rollout and communication of trade marketing and promotional activity to stores.
  • Assist with campaign implementation both in-store and remotely, while gathering regular feedback from individual stores.
  • Oversee monthly tester ordering.

Design and EDM Production

  • Localise and adapt artwork across multiple formats, including POS material, fixtures, and digital assets.
  • Create location-specific print collateral, update artwork, and develop custom design treatments when needed.
  • Stay informed about design trends and EDM culture to produce contemporary and engaging visuals.
  • Develop animations and motion graphics for video and digital content.
  • Ensure all creative output reflects the brand identity and speaks to the intended audience.
  • Handle several design projects at once while consistently meeting deadlines.
  • Refine concepts and final artwork based on feedback from stakeholders.
  • Prepare final artwork files for print and digital release in the correct formats and resolutions.
  • Maintain and organise a reusable library of design assets.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite tools, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.

Visual Merchandising Training

  • Deliver engaging VM training to the field team through workshops, communications, and store visits.
  • Visit stores regularly to coach teams and help them interpret campaign guidelines according to each store’s needs.

Repairs and Maintenance Coordination

  • Manage incoming maintenance requests and coordinate the overall repair process.
  • Communicate job requirements to contractors and stakeholders to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
  • Track inventory needs and provide regular updates to key contacts.
  • Assign issues to the appropriate contractors so they can be resolved quickly and effectively.

What You’ll Need

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Merchandising, or a related discipline, along with more than 3 years of experience in Visual Merchandising or Design, ideally within retail or cosmetics. You should be able to prioritise effectively, handle tight deadlines, and bring a strong understanding of design principles, spatial awareness, and visual aesthetics.

Strong numerical, organisational, and computer skills are expected, especially across Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, is essential. The role also requires the flexibility to travel to retail locations as needed.

Skills and Attributes

This role calls for someone who is creative, detail-focused, and solutions-driven. Strong project coordination and organisational capability are important, along with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. A genuine interest in the beauty industry and enthusiasm for the Benefit brand will be valuable.

Benefits and Culture

In return, you’ll join a global beauty brand with a strong heritage and an energetic future. The role comes with a competitive salary, a performance-based bonus, brow services, and generous product allowances throughout the year.

As part of the broader LVMH network, you’ll also have access to professional development opportunities, leadership workshops, and career growth within a group of iconic luxury brands. The company places importance on wellbeing, individuality, and maintaining a healthy balance between work and personal life.

Application Notes

Applicants should submit an updated resume along with a creative cover letter explaining why they are a strong fit for this Benefit Cosmetics opportunity. Only candidates who are shortlisted will be contacted.
