Trainee Engineering Technician (No Experience Required/Aerospace)

Overview

This opportunity is with a major aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul provider based in Changi. The company focuses on aircraft engine overhaul and component repair, with particular expertise in the Rolls-Royce Trent engine family. It operates advanced facilities that can support the full Trent range and carries out more than 300 engine overhauls each year, backed by a modern engine testing centre designed for quick and efficient turnaround.

The role is intended for candidates who want to build a career in aviation but do not yet meet the technical entry requirements for an aircraft engine technician position. Successful candidates will complete a 12-month structured training programme and then move into a qualified Aircraft Engine Technician role with the company.

Training Structure

• The programme includes company orientation, classroom-based learning, and practical on-the-job training.
• Before technical training begins, trainees will be introduced to the work environment and day-to-day operational processes.
• A three-month classroom phase will cover both theory and practical modules delivered by an external training academy.
• This is followed by a nine-month on-the-job attachment where trainees will learn to work on Rolls-Royce Trent engines under the supervision of experienced mentors.
• After completing the traineeship, the selected candidate will be required to serve a two-year bond with the company as a qualified Aircraft Engine Technician.

Requirements

• Applicants should hold a NITEC, Higher NITEC, or Diploma in Engineering, such as Aeronautical, Avionics, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Precision Engineering.
• Candidates must be open to working rotating shifts.
• No previous work experience is needed, and fresh candidates are encouraged to submit an application.
