Role Overview

This position is for an experienced Test Engineer with a strong background in QA automation. The role is based in Bengaluru/Bangalore and calls for someone who can contribute to testing efforts across web UI, APIs, databases, and automation frameworks.

Primary Skills

The core technical areas for this role include Selenium, Java, API automation, BDD using Cucumber, SQL, and TestNG/JUnit.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automation coverage for software testing initiatives.
• Develop and execute test scripts using Java-based automation frameworks.
• Use Selenium WebDriver for user interface automation.
• Carry out API automation testing with tools such as Rest Assured or similar solutions.
• Apply BDD practices with Cucumber in test development.
• Validate data and support database testing using SQL.
• Work with TestNG or JUnit for organizing and running automated tests.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum delivery environments and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
• Track, report, and manage defects through standard test and issue management tools.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of hands-on experience in software testing and QA automation.
• Strong coding ability in Java.
• Practical experience with Selenium WebDriver.
• Experience in API automation testing using Rest Assured or similar frameworks.
• Good working knowledge of BDD frameworks, especially Cucumber.
• Solid understanding of SQL and database validation.
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit test frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Experience using defect tracking and test management tools.
