Job Overview
This opening is for an Intermediate Test Analyst based onsite in Edmonton, Alberta. The assignment is expected to last 10 months and may be extended by another 12 months. The role supports a major Procurement System Modernization initiative, with a focus on building testing approaches, validating that test cases reflect business needs, and confirming results throughout the full project lifecycle.
The selected person will collaborate closely with business users, technical specialists, and external vendors to help deliver reliable outcomes across all phases of testing.

Responsibilities
- Assess business requirements and design sessions, then contribute testing input and feedback.
- Spot testing challenges, communicate them clearly, and help implement process enhancements and fixes.
- Determine what needs to be tested and assist in creating and carrying out test plans.
- Partner with subject matter experts to define suitable tests and the test data needed.
- Collect, organize, and keep test data current throughout the project.
- Set up, facilitate, and run test cycles, then assess results and define exit criteria.
- Record outcomes, confirm execution, and monitor defect counts, test progress, risks, and blockers.
- Build UAT dashboards and status updates for stakeholders and leadership.
- Work with the project team to investigate and recover from execution errors.
- Support teams using AI-enabled tools and automated testing solutions where applicable.
- Participate in project meetings to review testing inputs and outputs and share timely updates.
- Help resolve issues raised during testing and UAT.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Business, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 4 years of experience coordinating testing with business users, analysts, technical teams, project managers, security teams, and third-party vendors.
- At least 4 years of experience preparing test data, running tests, validating results, and documenting issues.
- At least 4 years of experience identifying testing issues and driving process improvements.
- At least 4 years of experience creating or supporting test plans and test cases.
- At least 4 years of experience supporting QA, UAT coordination, test execution, and defect lifecycle work in an enterprise application environment.
- At least 4 years of experience supporting testing or UAT for SAP, ERP, procurement, finance, supply chain, or other integrated enterprise platforms.
- At least 3 years of experience tracking execution progress, defect metrics, risks, and blockers.
- At least 1 year of experience leading and delivering end-to-end Source-to-Pay testing, including Ariba upstream procurement workflows and S/4HANA downstream financial integration or comparable ERP processes.
- Intermediate level proficiency is expected for the role.
Preferred Experience
- 4 years of experience with smoke, unit, system, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- 2 years of experience testing system integrations, interfaces, data flows, or end-to-end business processes across multiple systems.
- 2 years of experience converting business requirements into test scenarios, test cases, expected outcomes, and UAT validation steps.
- 2 years of experience with SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), Fieldglass, or similar ERP procurement tools.
- 2 years of experience using JIRA or Revision Control System (RCS).
- 2 years of experience working within ERP implementation lifecycles, testing stages, defect resolution cycles, and UAT readiness activities.
