About the Company

Oakwood Group is expanding its residential development work across Dublin and is seeking a seasoned Foreman to join the team.

Role Overview

This full-time, on-site position is based in Dublin, Ireland. It offers the chance to work in a driven, hands-on environment where quality, professionalism, and lasting relationships are central. You will work closely with the Directors and take responsibility for leading site activity while helping a growing business continue to scale.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will manage the daily running of residential construction projects from the early phases through to handover. The focus will be on safe delivery, efficient execution, and a consistently high standard of work, with clear coordination between trades, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site activity and coordinate the work of all trades on site
• Keep projects moving to schedule while protecting quality standards
• Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel effectively
• Uphold strong health and safety practices across every project
• Partner with the Directors on project updates and overall progress
• Support supplier pricing, negotiations, and commercial decision-making across builds
• Organise materials, deliveries, and site logistics
• Maintain professional communication throughout the full construction cycle
• Take full ownership of site organisation and programme delivery

What the Employer Is Looking For

The ideal candidate will have a strong carpentry background and extensive experience managing active construction sites and teams.

• At least 10 years of experience working as a Foreman
• Strong carpentry background, essential for the role
• Proven track record on residential construction projects
• Strong leadership and communication abilities
• Solid understanding of site management and full build cycles
• Experience with supplier pricing and negotiation is highly desirable
• A practical, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
• Interest in long-term development and progression within the company
