Role overview
Players Pins is looking for a detail-focused, tech-comfortable e-commerce professional who enjoys working at the intersection of online retail, sports, and collectibles. In this position, you will oversee the company’s Shopify store, help improve the customer journey, support revenue growth, and contribute to the digital expansion of its patent-pending collectible sports pins.
Reporting line
This position reports to the Marketing Manager.
Core responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Players Pins Shopify store, including product uploads, stock tracking, price changes, and promotional setup.
- Write and maintain accurate product copy, ensure images are high quality, and organize items into the correct categories.
- Handle online order processing and fulfillment, working with shipping partners and keeping customers informed about order progress.
- Respond to customer questions and concerns related to purchases, product information, and website issues, with a strong service mindset.
- Review site performance and identify ways to improve the shopping experience, conversion outcomes, and search visibility.
- Run e-commerce marketing activities such as email outreach, promotional codes, and abandoned-cart recovery workflows.
- Monitor, interpret, and share key store performance data, then turn insights into practical suggestions for better sales and operations.
- Work closely with marketing and creative teams to keep brand communication aligned across online campaigns.
- Stay current on Shopify updates, e-commerce developments, and industry best practices.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, e-Commerce, or a similar field, or an equivalent level of hands-on experience.
- At least 1 year of experience running an e-commerce platform, with Shopify experience specifically required.
- Good knowledge of e-commerce fundamentals, online sales funnels, and digital marketing concepts.
- Strong planning skills, sharp attention to detail, and the ability to juggle several priorities and deadlines.
- Practical experience with Shopify’s backend, apps, and analytics tools.
- Solid troubleshooting ability and a customer-first approach.
- Basic HTML/CSS familiarity for minor site updates is an added advantage.
- Interest in sports, collectibles, pop culture, or fashion is important for success in the role.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $30,000 and $40,000 per year, with pay based on experience.
