Role Overview
This opportunity is being handled on behalf of a partner organization, which will manage the application review and subsequent hiring steps. The role is for a Sales Learning & Development Specialist located in the United States.
The position centers on building and expanding learning experiences for a high-performing sales team. You will create and run training initiatives that deepen essential selling skills, lift conversion performance, and shorten the time it takes new and current sales representatives to become productive. The work blends instructional design, live facilitation, and performance-based program refinement so that learning efforts contribute directly to business growth.
You will work closely with sales leadership, enablement, and revenue operations to uncover capability gaps and design focused development programs. This is a fast-moving, results-driven environment that calls for creativity in learning design and clear alignment with revenue goals. The role offers the chance to improve sales effectiveness and strengthen team performance through structured, engaging, and measurable development efforts.
Responsibilities
- Build and roll out scalable sales training programs that support every stage of the sales journey, from onboarding through ongoing development.
- Create tailored learning journeys and training modules using a mix of formats such as live sessions, e-learning, simulations, and shadowing.
- Facilitate interactive training on key sales skills, including discovery, handling objections, negotiation, product understanding, and closing.
- Partner with sales leadership, enablement, and RevOps teams to pinpoint performance gaps and set learning priorities.
- Monitor training impact using metrics such as ramp time, participation, knowledge retention, conversion rates, and close rates.
- Keep sales enablement assets current, including playbooks, talk tracks, and training resources tied to company objectives.
- Support a culture of continuous learning through coaching, peer-to-peer learning, and self-directed development opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in sales training, sales enablement, or learning and development in a sales-focused setting.
- Demonstrated success designing and delivering training programs that measurably improved sales outcomes.
- Working knowledge of B2B sales frameworks such as SPIN, MEDDIC, or Challenger is preferred.
- Strong presentation, facilitation, and communication skills with the ability to connect with varied audiences.
- Experience using LMS platforms, e-learning software, and sales technology tools such as CRM and enablement systems.
- A data-oriented approach with the ability to assess program effectiveness and make improvements based on results.
- Self-motivated mindset with enthusiasm for coaching, developing talent, and improving sales performance.
