Role Overview
The Recreation Manager will lead all recreation and wellness functions across the hotel. This includes pool operations, fitness amenities, guest activities, and recreational programming. The position is focused on maintaining premium guest experiences, safe and efficient operations, team capability, and income growth while upholding luxury hospitality standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day running of recreation areas, including swimming pools, fitness spaces, and activity programs.
- Keep all facilities at a very high level of cleanliness, safety, and visual presentation.
- Create and refine operating procedures, service guidelines, and internal policies.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests, concerns, and feedback to ensure a standout experience.
- Work closely with Spa, Rooms, Food & Beverage, and other teams to build stronger wellness and engagement offerings.
- Hire, develop, mentor, and supervise recreation team members to deliver excellent service.
- Build departmental budgets, forecasts, and reports, while managing expenses and identifying revenue opportunities.
- Track performance results and introduce improvements that raise efficiency and guest satisfaction.
- Maintain full compliance with health, safety, emergency, and regulatory standards.
- Design creative recreation, fitness, and wellness experiences that match the hotel's luxury brand positioning.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Leisure Management, Sports & Recreation, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in recreation, wellness, fitness, or upscale hotel operations.
- Strong capabilities in leadership, communication, and organization are expected.
- Hands-on experience in budgeting, financial planning, and operational oversight is needed.
- English fluency is required, and knowledge of other languages is considered an advantage.
- CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguard certifications are preferred.
- Candidates should align with the Raffles and Fairmont luxury service standards in every interaction.
