Role Summary

This full-time, on-site Quantity Surveyor position in Dubai focuses on controlling project costs and measuring quantities for construction and maintenance work. The role supports estimating, tender preparation, and quotation development, while also tracking budget performance and cost changes throughout the project lifecycle.

Core Duties

• Prepare and assess Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for construction and maintenance projects.
• Monitor project expenditure and highlight cost differences or variances.
• Assist with tender submissions and pricing quotations.
• Track changes in scope and update cost implications accordingly.
• Prepare interim and final payment applications.
• Compile cost reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and procurement teams to maintain quantity accuracy and cost control.
• Keep project documentation current and organized.
• Support contract negotiations, risk assessment, and value management efforts.
• Ensure work aligns with contract terms, project specifications, and applicable UAE regulations.

Required Background

• Background in quantity surveying, civil engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Prior experience in a Quantity Surveyor or similar role within contracting or general maintenance is an advantage.
• Practical understanding of construction contracts, local UAE regulations, and industry practices.
• Ability to plan costs, manage budgets, and produce detailed cost reports.
• Strong numerical accuracy, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of quantity surveying tools and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills for collaboration with multiple site-based functions.
