Role Overview

The Purchase Executive will support procurement activities for a biscuit manufacturing setup, with responsibility for sourcing raw materials, packaging items, and consumables while keeping supply smooth, costs under control, and records accurate.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage procurement for raw materials, packaging materials, and consumables used in biscuit production.
• Send enquiries to vendors, collect quotations, and prepare comparison sheets to help in supplier selection.
• Discuss and finalize pricing, delivery timelines, and payment terms with suppliers to keep purchases cost-effective.
• Create purchase orders and follow up to ensure materials reach on time based on production needs.
• Work with production, warehouse, and quality teams to plan material requirements and purchasing schedules.
• Track inventory, maintain safety stock, and help avoid interruptions in production supplies.
• Identify, assess, and build new vendor relationships based on quality, pricing, and delivery reliability.
• Ensure procurement work aligns with GMP, FSSAI, ISO norms, and internal purchasing procedures.
• Check goods receipt notes and invoices, and coordinate with the accounts team for payment processing.
• Review supplier performance and address issues such as delays, shortages, or rejected material.
• Keep procurement documentation, MIS reports, and SAP/ERP records updated.

Tools and Domain Exposure

Experience or working knowledge in SAP MM, ERP systems, MS Excel, MIS reporting, MRP, GRN handling, invoice verification, supply chain coordination, cost optimization, and SOP compliance is relevant for this role.

Additional Information

This position is for purchase and procurement operations in FMCG biscuit manufacturing, with direct involvement in vendor management, sourcing, purchase planning, and inventory control.
