Role overview

This opportunity sits within Qatar Airways’ Product Development and Design function, where the team develops innovative inflight offerings and works to improve passenger comfort while advancing aviation design. The role focuses on turning ideas into deliverable outcomes across physical and digital customer-experience initiatives.

As a Project Manager in the Strategy Team, you will help steer strategic programmes across technology, product innovation, and service improvements. The position is centered on strong governance, structured planning, and close coordination across multiple teams to keep delivery aligned with business goals. The work spans complex programmes related to inflight entertainment, connected cabin solutions, food and beverage, amenities, and emerging service technologies.

What you will do

• Put governance structures in place for customer experience and product development programmes, making sure organisational rules, processes, and compliance requirements are followed.
• Create and maintain integrated programme schedules, milestones, and timelines across areas such as cabin interiors, entertainment systems, connectivity, food and beverage, amenities, and service delivery.
• Work with product, design, technology, and operations teams to manage interdependencies, update plans, and reduce delays and delivery risks.
• Monitor progress against strategic roadmaps and delivery targets, and keep dashboards and tracking tools updated for leadership and stakeholder visibility.
• Review programme performance data and suggest corrective actions when outcomes are off track.
• Spot, evaluate, and follow risks and issues across multiple programmes, support mitigation planning, escalate major concerns, and recommend actions to leadership.
• Assist with capacity planning and resource allocation across overlapping initiatives, coordinating with HR and functional leaders when staffing support is needed.
• Keep clear records of decisions, actions, and outcomes, and build reporting templates that improve transparency, accountability, and continuity between programme phases.
• Serve as a communication hub for programme updates, preparing reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal stakeholders.
• Encourage collaboration across functions and help manage stakeholder expectations throughout delivery.
• Make sure programme execution supports the Product Development Division’s strategic direction, including feasibility assessments for new concepts and technologies.
• Carry out additional department-related duties assigned by the Head of Department.

About you

You should bring strong programme or project management experience, ideally gained in strategy, innovation, or technology settings. The role requires someone who is comfortable working across design, product, operations, and technology environments, and who can manage complex stakeholder networks with confidence.

You’ll need a solid grasp of planning, milestone tracking, and resource coordination, along with experience using structured delivery methods such as stage-gate, agile, or hybrid models. The role also calls for strong reporting skills and the ability to turn programme data into clear leadership updates and performance insights.
