Overview

Pico Play is hiring a Project Engineer to oversee site operations and help ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, to the required quality level, and in accordance with the approved construction program.

Planning and Work Control

Create short-range and detailed look-ahead schedules that fit within the overall project timeline.
Organize and sequence day-to-day work, including assigning labor and supervisors as needed.
Run daily morning briefings and toolbox talks before work begins.
Track progress regularly and make sure activities stay aligned with the approved plan.
Report any delay, change, or project risk to the Project Manager or Project Director immediately.
Coordinate material and equipment deliveries with procurement so items arrive when required.
Escalate procurement issues or delivery delays to senior management without waiting.

Project Coordination

Liaise with main contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
Lead daily site coordination meetings with quality and site teams to review ongoing work and upcoming tasks.
Confirm that all necessary clearances and handovers are in place before starting any activity.
Issue the relevant handovers and clearances to the appropriate parties once work is finished.

QA/QC Management

Plan, carry out, and document Material Inspection Requests (MIRs) and Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) as per project needs and the work program.
Work closely with the QA/QC team so inspections and supporting records are completed on time.
Keep inspection registers and quality documentation current.
Ensure no task begins without the required approvals and inspection release.

Materials and Resource Management

Oversee material storage, site logistics, and delivery handling.
Monitor manpower distribution and review manpower histograms to confirm resources are properly allocated.
Track daily productivity of labor and subcontractors.

Health, Safety and Environment

Ensure all site operations follow approved HSE procedures.
Do not allow work to start without approved documents such as Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Lifting Plans, after discussing them with the Safety Manager in advance.
Verify that access equipment is safe and used only by trained and licensed operators.
Arrange toolbox talks and safety briefings regularly with workers and the safety team as required.
Immediately report accidents, incidents, and unsafe behavior or conditions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or another relevant discipline.
At least 4 years of site experience on construction projects.
Good understanding of construction sequencing, QA/QC processes, and HSE requirements.
Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
Experience with project documentation tools such as Aconex and Procore.
Strong written and verbal communication plus reporting skills.
