About GreenLite
Permitting in the U.S. construction sector is notoriously opaque: there are more than 500,000 forms and 20,000 processes, even though 95% of cities operate under the same building code. Delays in approvals can slow expansion, reduce revenue, and interrupt construction timelines.
GreenLite was established in 2022 by builders, founders, and industry specialists to make permitting more predictable for developers across the country. The company pairs AI-driven software with an in-house team of licensed architects, engineers, and city planners to help teams reach permit approval faster. Its compliance-led approach helps ensure plans are code-ready before submission, which can cut revisions, delays, and cost overruns.
The company has secured $86M in venture financing from investors such as Insight Partners, Energize Capital, Craft Ventures, LiveOak Ventures, Trust Ventures, and Chicago Ventures. Well-known organizations including Walgreens, TD Bank, and Driven Brands rely on GreenLite to speed up approvals, lower risk, and support growth.
Role Overview
GreenLite is hiring a Product Manager to take full ownership of products from early concept through ongoing improvement. This role sits at the center of AI, workflow automation, and highly complex operational processes. You will partner closely with leadership, engineering, design, and customers to determine priorities, explain product direction, and guide how the product changes as the business grows.
Successful PMs in this environment act like hands-on builders and accountable owners. They work with pace, make sharp tradeoffs, and stay tightly connected to customer needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the product journey end to end, including discovery, prioritization, design, development, launch, and continuous refinement.
- Partner with leadership, engineering, and design teams to define and deliver the roadmap.
- Speak directly with customers to identify pain points, operational slowdowns, and workflow gaps, then turn those insights into product decisions.
- Create product strategy, define success measures, and drive execution across teams.
- Support adoption through training and enablement, and use feedback from the field to improve the product.
What You Need
- At least 3 years of product management experience delivering meaningful B2B software in startup or fast-paced environments.
- A demonstrated ability to bring products from customer discovery through launch and iteration.
- Strong customer empathy, with a habit of speaking to users before forming conclusions and turning feedback into aligned team decisions.
- Hands-on builder mindset, including comfort working at a detailed level and enabling engineers and designers rather than only directing them.
- Technical fluency, including an understanding of how software is built, how to discuss tradeoffs, and how AI/LLM products function at a practical level.
- Comfort working through ambiguity and solving problems that are not fully defined.
- Strong accountability, urgency, and ownership.
- Experience presenting strategy and business updates to senior leaders.
Preferred Experience
- Experience building from scratch in a 0→1 environment.
- Practical experience shipping AI or LLM features into production, including evals, retrieval, and taking a demo to a dependable product.
- Background in regulated or operationally complex areas such as construction, permitting, legal, healthcare, or logistics.
- Experience launching a product used by an operations or services team.
Benefits and Perks
- Competitive pay with a generous base salary and access to the Employee Equity Program.
- Annual performance bonuses tied to high-impact results.
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for full-time employees and their families.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Parental leave for all parents.
- Monthly wellness stipend plus access to Wellhub, Talkspace, and Teladoc.
- Weekly catered lunches in the New York City office.
- Company-wide all-hands meetings twice a year.
- Regular team-building activities.
- Unlimited PTO.
- Hybrid office schedule: 4 days per week in office, with a summer schedule of 3 in-office days per week.
Equal Opportunity Statement
GreenLite welcomes applicants from varied backgrounds and understands that no candidate will meet every qualification on day one. If you are excited about the construction industry and want to grow your career, you are encouraged to apply.
