Role Summary

RPC Co. is seeking a Planning Engineer to own schedule development and monitoring for shoring, piling, and dewatering activities. This is a full-time position based on site in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves partnering with project managers, site engineers, and procurement teams to coordinate manpower, materials, timelines, and construction sequences. You will build baseline programmes, revise schedules as work progresses, measure actual progress against plan, identify delays or variances, and propose practical recovery actions to keep the project aligned with scope and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain baseline, look-ahead, and updated project schedules for shoring, piling, and dewatering works.
• Track work progress regularly and compare actual performance with planned milestones.
• Spot schedule deviations, investigate their causes, and recommend corrective measures.
• Coordinate closely with project managers, site teams, and procurement to synchronize resources and site activities.
• Support project control tasks such as reporting, forecasting, and performance review.
• Prepare clear progress and schedule reports for internal stakeholders and external counterparts.
• Visit project sites frequently to collect data, verify production rates, and ensure plans match field conditions.
• Help maintain alignment with safety, quality, and execution standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong capability in planning and production planning to build practical and efficient project schedules.
• Good analytical ability with hands-on exposure to project control, progress tracking, and variance analysis.
• Solid communication skills for working with cross-functional teams and presenting schedule updates clearly.
• Working knowledge of planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Office applications.
• A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant engineering field.
• Prior experience in geotechnical, shoring, piling, or heavy civil construction projects is strongly preferred.
• Understanding of construction methods, productivity norms, and resource planning in site-based environments.
• Ability to work full-time on site in Riyadh while managing multiple priorities and following health, safety, and quality requirements.
