Payroll Specialist I

Role overview

Honeywell is looking for a Payroll Specialist I to support payroll operations in India. In this position, you will manage payroll processing activities, help ensure employees are paid correctly and on schedule, respond to payroll-related questions, maintain accurate records, and support compliance with internal policies and applicable regulations.

This role plays an important part in strengthening payroll efficiency, improving employee experience through reliable payment processing, and helping the team stay aligned with compliance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Support payroll runs by entering data, performing calculations, and handling payment disbursements.
• Work with the Payroll Manager to help ensure salaries, wages, and benefits are processed accurately and on time.
• Partner with HR and Finance to maintain compliance with payroll laws and related regulations.
• Respond to employee payroll questions and help resolve discrepancies.
• Contribute ideas and support efforts around process improvement and automation to make payroll operations more effective.

Qualifications

The position requires solid payroll experience, comfort working with payroll tools, and a strong understanding of payroll rules and procedures. The ideal candidate should also be detail-oriented and able to manage sensitive information responsibly.
