About the Role
CMA Singapore has been operating since 2005 as the master franchisee for CMA International. The organization focuses on two-hand abacus and mental arithmetic education, using a structured teaching approach aimed at strengthening overall brain development. Supported by multimedia learning materials and an experienced leadership team, CMA has grown into one of the fastest-expanding mental arithmetic training providers globally.
The team is looking for a full-time Mental Arithmetic Trainer in Yishun, Singapore. New hires will go through a guided abacus training programme designed to prepare them to deliver lessons to a high teaching standard.
CMA operates 21 outlets across Singapore and is still expanding. This is an opportunity to join a mission-driven environment where you can help children develop their potential while working in a supportive and energetic team.
Responsibilities
- Teach abacus and mental arithmetic concepts to students and help bring out their learning potential.
- Interact proactively with students and parents to strengthen their understanding and appreciation of the programme.
Requirements
- Minimum qualification: GCE O-Level or an equivalent credential, with a pass in English. A Diploma or Degree in Early Childhood Care and Education, Teaching, or a similar field will be an advantage.
- Comfortable working with young children and able to support them in a warm, patient, and encouraging manner.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage students and communicate with both English-speaking and Chinese-speaking parents.
- Creative, motivating, and able to bring positive energy into the classroom.
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, particularly with children, is preferred. Applicants without teaching experience may still be considered if they have a genuine passion for teaching and nurturing children.
- Available to work weekday evenings and weekends.
