Role Overview
As a Logistic Specialist, you will keep logistics operations running smoothly by handling documentation, system updates, transport coordination, stakeholder communication, reporting, and support for cost control and process improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, organize, and file shipping papers, transport records, customs documentation, and related logistics files, while keeping ERP, WMS, and other systems updated accurately for traceability.
- Update logistics information in real time, including movements of received, dispatched, and in-transit goods.
- Work with sea, air, and land freight carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, monitor shipment progress, and quickly resolve issues such as delays or damage.
- Assist in comparing carrier rates and service levels to support better cost and service decisions.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments such as procurement, sales, and warehouse teams, as well as customers, carriers, and freight forwarders, to support order handover and issue resolution.
- Prepare logistics reports covering transportation, inventory, and costs to help analyze performance.
- Support invoice checking, cost accruals, and settlement activities to strengthen cost control.
- Take on additional assignments as needed, including cross-region shipment coordination, return logistics, process improvement efforts, and equipment-related support.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, International Trade, or a similar discipline.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including basic Excel functions; experience with ERP or TMS tools is an added advantage.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, communication ability, and teamwork skills.
- English proficiency sufficient for day-to-day workplace communication; German or another foreign language is beneficial.
- Ability to perform well in a fast-moving environment and remain flexible to work overtime when required.
- Previous internship or professional experience in logistics or warehousing is preferred.
