What the Role Involves

• Set up laboratories before practical classes and hands-on sessions.
• Assist instructors, faculty members, and students during lab activities.
• Oversee the upkeep of laboratory instruments, including calibration, inspection, troubleshooting, servicing, and minor repairs.
• Track lab supplies and stock, and help process procurement requests when items need to be ordered.
• Follow and enforce laboratory health and safety requirements at all times.
• Keep maintenance files, calibration registers, and other lab-related documentation updated.
• Contribute to student projects, workshops, and wider departmental tasks as needed.

Candidate Profile

The employer is looking for a technician with 5 to 8 years of relevant experience. Prior UAE experience is mandatory. A strong working understanding of laboratory installations, maintenance processes, equipment calibration, fault-finding, and safety practices is required. Experience supporting practical laboratory teaching sessions and handling inventory management will be important for success in this position.
