Kitchen Assistant

About the role

We are hiring a committed and energetic Kitchen Assistant to support the culinary team in Saudi Arabia. The role involves helping chefs prepare quality meals while keeping pace in a busy kitchen. It suits someone who enjoys food service work and wants to build a career in the culinary field.

Key responsibilities

• Help with basic food prep tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting fruits and vegetables.
• Keep the kitchen area clean and maintain good hygiene standards at all times.
• Clean dishes, utensils, and cooking tools after use.
• Organize and store ingredients correctly, making sure FIFO (First In, First Out) practices are followed.
• Support the team in receiving, unpacking, and arranging deliveries.
• Carry out tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen supervisors.
• Dispose of kitchen waste in line with the required procedures.

Requirements

• Prior work as a Kitchen Assistant or in a similar position is an advantage.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Comfortable working in a busy, high-pressure environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Physically able to remain on your feet for long periods.
• Must be legally eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
