The position focuses on keeping project schedules current, monitoring delivery progress, preparing management reports, and helping ensure engineering work meets client, quality, and contractual commitments.
The role is well suited to candidates who want to develop hands-on experience in project planning, scheduling, and project controls across FEED, detailed engineering, EPCM, and PMC environments. In this kind of regional planning role, strong exposure to Primavera P6, progress tracking, reporting, and schedule analysis is especially valuable.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, update, and maintain project timelines using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Contribute to planning tasks across the full engineering cycle, including FEED, detailed design, and EPCM/PMC work.
- Track engineering progress against approved baselines and flag any slippage or deviations.
- Revise schedules using status updates received from engineering discipline leads.
- Prepare weekly and monthly progress dashboards, S-curves, KPI summaries, and status reports.
- Assist with manpower planning, resource loading, and monitoring engineering productivity.
- Support development of Work Breakdown Structures and project coding systems.
- Take part in schedule risk reviews and help shape recovery plans where needed.
- Follow engineering deliverables, procurement touchpoints, and major project milestones.
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to gather and consolidate progress information.
- Help identify schedule delays and suggest practical corrective measures.
- Support client presentations and project review meetings with planning inputs.
- Keep planning files, baseline schedules, and project records organized and current.
- Make sure planning work aligns with internal procedures and client expectations.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or another related engineering field is required. The employer is open to fresh graduates as well as candidates with up to 2 years of relevant project planning or project controls experience.
