Junior Business Analyst

The ideal person will be commercially sharp, perform well under pressure, and stay organised while balancing multiple priorities.

What you will do

• Build and contribute to financial and business models.
• Support financial due diligence work and help prepare presentations for senior leadership.
• Spot unusual expenses and adjust profit and loss statements so target businesses are represented accurately.
• Review, interpret, and draw insights from financial, operating, and statistical data.
• Grasp project and assignment goals, scope, and delivery expectations.
• Assess industry trends and the competitive landscape.
• Work with internal teams and external contacts to secure productive outcomes.
• Keep acquisition pipeline and workflow records current across the business.
• Investigate small and medium-sized businesses and gather commercial data needed for project documentation and reports.
• Prepare and update project materials such as information memorandums, due diligence checklists, and Q&A processes.
• Help coordinate and manage business sale transaction activity.

What you need

• A degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field.
• Background as a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst.
• Strong command of financial and business concepts, models, accounts, drivers, and performance measures.
• Understanding of statutory and management reporting standards, calculations, and business management methods.
• Solid analytical ability, including both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Strong research capability and advanced report-writing and documentation skills.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with business valuation modelling.
• Confident verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Google Mail.
