IT Support Technician

Role overview

Live Nation Ireland Holdings Limited is hiring a permanent full-time IT Support Technician based at 3Arena and Bord Gáis Energy Theatre in County Dublin, Ireland. Reporting to the Manager, Information Technology, this role focuses on delivering technical support to staff across multiple departments and locations, while also supporting the introduction and rollout of new services.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver first- and second-line IT support to users over the phone and in person.
• Keep support tools and related systems current and properly maintained.
• Support the desktop environment, including PCs, printers, mobile devices, telecoms, applications, and operating systems such as Windows 7 and Windows 10.
• Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues.
• Set up new users on company systems.
• Install IT hardware and software as required.
• Contribute to new projects and participate in change management activities.
• Take ownership of assigned IT projects through to successful delivery.
• Train employees on the use of IT systems.
• Protect confidentiality of information handled during employment.
• Maintain a professional manner at all times.
• Stay informed about current and emerging ICT developments.
• Take responsibility for ongoing professional growth and safe working practices.
• Help maintain a safe environment for staff and visitors.
• Carry out any additional duties suitable to the role as directed by management or a nominee.

Requirements

• A third-level qualification in Information Technology at NFQ Level 6, or an equivalent standard.
• At least one of the following certifications: A+, Network+, MTA Networking Fundamentals, or MTA Security Fundamentals.
• Relevant post-qualification experience is essential.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft networking technologies, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Good knowledge of Exchange and Outlook.
• Some hands-on experience with switches, firewalls, and routers.
• Knowledge of VPN and WAN technologies is beneficial.
• Experience with PBX and VoIP technologies would be an advantage.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Ability to show initiative.
• Good planning and organisational skills.
• Flexibility in approach and working style.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability.
