IT Network Operation Support Engineer

Role overview

This position is for an experienced IT Network Operation Support Engineer who can contribute to a demanding operations setting that supports large enterprise and service provider network infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Provide round-the-clock network operations support, including participation in on-call schedules.
• Diagnose and resolve advanced network faults in environments with multiple technology vendors.
• Carry out configuration work, software or firmware upgrades, and incident closure activities.
• Track network performance, log data, and health indicators to maintain service reliability.
• Assist with change control, method-of-procedure verification, and service request handling.
• Work with cross-functional teams on design updates and continuous operational improvement.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of hands-on experience in IP/MPLS and network operations.
• Strong command of routing protocols such as OSPF, IS-IS, and BGP, along with MPLS-based technologies.
• Practical exposure to equipment and solutions from vendors such as Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, and F5.
• Working familiarity with network automation tools and frameworks including Python, Ansible, and Netconf/YANG.
• Demonstrated ability to support complex migrations and live production networks.
• Relevant professional certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or an equivalent credential.

Engagement details

This is a full-time, long-term assignment expected to span multiple years. The role operates in a 24x7 support model and requires onsite attendance, with flexibility needed for critical situations.
