Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position in Accra is suited to an HR professional who can support the employee journey from hiring through exit. The Human Resources Specialist will contribute to recruitment, onboarding, performance support, and offboarding, while also helping manage HR operations and employee support.
Key Duties
- Create and publish job vacancies, review applications, and assist with candidate shortlisting.
- Arrange and coordinate interviews with applicants and hiring managers.
- Prepare employment letters and other HR-related documentation.
- Support the implementation and day-to-day administration of HR policies.
- Maintain accurate employee files and personnel information.
- Help process payroll inputs and support employee benefits administration.
- Track leave records and coordinate time-off requests.
- Respond to staff questions and provide general HR support.
- Assist with workplace issue resolution and conflict handling.
- Help organize training activities and employee development sessions.
- Support compliance with Ghanaian labour laws and internal company standards.
- Work with management to improve engagement, culture, and HR processes.
Qualifications and Experience
- Solid grounding in human resources and HR management, with exposure to the complete employee lifecycle.
- Ability to understand, apply, and maintain HR policies in line with local labour requirements and company rules.
- Experience handling employee benefits, personnel records, leave tracking, and related HR data.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution abilities, with a service-oriented approach.
- High standards of integrity, discretion, and accuracy when dealing with sensitive employee matters.
- Comfort using MS Office or similar productivity tools; experience with HR systems is an added advantage.
- A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related subject, or equivalent practical experience.
- Previous experience in transport, logistics, or other service-focused environments is beneficial.
