About the Opportunity
This temporary HR coordination role is with a client focused on delivering meaningful work for its community. The position is based in Lower Hutt and runs through to the third week of December.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing HR administration across the full employee journey
- Preparing offer letters and employment variation documents
- Handling onboarding steps and pre-employment screening
- Supporting starter and leaver processes, including record tracking and paperwork
- Monitoring the HR inbox and dealing with first-line HR enquiries
- Helping with payroll-related documentation and working with payroll providers
- Keeping spreadsheets, employee files, and internal systems accurate and up to date
- Assisting with HR projects and wider administrative tasks as needed
What You’ll Bring
- Previous experience as an HR Coordinator or HR Generalist
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Good time management with the ability to juggle several priorities
- Solid administrative capability and a careful eye for detail
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Comfort using new systems and working across multiple platforms
- Initiative, practical problem-solving, and a hands-on approach
- Empathy, confidentiality, and a people-focused mindset
