About the role

As the Graphic Designer, you will help shape how the Johnny Bigg brand appears across every customer interaction. Reporting to the Head of Marketing, you’ll produce creative assets that capture attention, support engagement, and drive conversion across digital, retail, and social channels.

Working closely with the Marketing and Visual Merchandising teams, you will contribute to seasonal campaigns, strengthen the brand’s digital presence, and ensure all creative output reflects the Johnny Bigg identity and personality. The role blends traditional design work with AI-assisted creative tools, motion content, and a customer-first mindset to deliver high-quality creative experiences.

This is a full-time position based at Johnny Bigg’s head office in Rosebery. The working model includes 4 days in the office and 1 day working from home, offering a balance between collaboration and flexibility.

Key responsibilities

  • Help marketing develop the visual direction for campaigns across all channels, while bringing fresh ideas for how campaigns can be executed and brought to life.
  • Make sure all creative work stays aligned with the Johnny Bigg brand identity, tone of voice, and commercial goals.
  • Use AI-based creative tools to streamline design processes, support idea generation, create imagery and mock-ups, and assist with content production.
  • Create engaging social media content for different platforms.
  • Edit and prepare video content for digital screens, including managing store scheduling requirements.
  • Work with the visual merchandising team to create in-store signage, POS materials, and campaign collateral, while also owning the creative presentation of the store retail lookbook.
  • Assist marketing by marking up imagery for retouching after campaigns.
  • Produce additional digital assets as needed.

Skills and experience

You should bring 2 to 4 years of digital design experience, ideally gained in retail or fashion. A portfolio that demonstrates a strong balance of brand thinking, practicality, and creativity is essential.

Strong capability in Adobe Creative Suite is expected, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Firefly. Experience with Figma is an advantage, and confidence in After Effects would be a plus.

You should understand responsive and digital design, including how print-based ideas may need to translate effectively into digital formats. Clear communication, collaboration, ownership of work, strong attention to detail, and the ability to improve processes are important. You must also be comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines in a busy environment. Motion, editing, or video experience is considered a strong advantage.
