Full Stack Engineer - Post-Grad (Hybrid)

Role Overview

Over99 is developing a fast, reliable, and secure crypto gaming platform and is hiring a post-graduate Full Stack Engineer to join the Rewards & Stats team in Toronto. This entry-level role is designed for someone eager to grow while contributing to live production systems used by a large player base.

You will collaborate with experienced engineers on backend services, interactive user interfaces, analytics features, and AI-enabled tools. The position offers practical exposure to distributed systems, data pipelines, real-time messaging, observability, and modern web development in the gaming and crypto space.

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Toronto. The team works from a co-working space one to two times per week, with the remaining time available for remote work.

What You Will Work On

• Support the development of scalable backend systems with low latency, working under senior engineering guidance.
• Create and improve Node.js microservices for rewards, leaderboards, achievements, player statistics, and analytics.
• Work with data infrastructure such as PostgreSQL, StarRocks, and pipeline tooling.
• Contribute to a new backoffice platform being built from the ground up using MCP servers and AI-powered development tools.
• Develop real-time functionality through WebSockets, Pub/Sub, and event-driven messaging patterns.
• Build smooth, responsive frontend experiences with React and related modern web technologies.
• Produce maintainable, testable code that follows good engineering and deployment practices.
• Partner with product, design, and engineering teammates to deliver features effectively.
• Take part in code reviews and learn from more experienced developers.
• Gain hands-on experience with production monitoring, debugging, and observability at scale.

Core Technologies

The role will involve working with React, Node.js, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, StarRocks, Redis, Kafka, and MCP servers.
