Role Overview
This position is for an export logistics and freight forwarding professional who will manage international shipments end to end. The role centers on coordinating export movement efficiently, cost-effectively, and in line with all trade and customs requirements.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee the full export process, beginning with customer order handling and coordination with the sales team. The job includes arranging cargo bookings with shipping lines, airlines, and freight partners, while ensuring all movements are planned and executed smoothly.
You will also prepare, check, and manage export paperwork such as commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other regulatory documents. In addition, you will work closely with transporters, customs brokers, warehouses, shipping lines, overseas agents, and customers to keep cargo flowing without delays.
Tracking shipment schedules, monitoring containers, resolving operational issues, and sharing timely status updates with customers are all part of the role. You must also maintain compliance with international trade rules, customs processes, Incoterms, and company procedures while ensuring accuracy in every transaction.
The position further involves negotiating freight prices, finding ways to reduce logistics costs, reviewing carrier performance, and building strong working relationships with logistics partners. You will coordinate with sales, finance, procurement, and warehouse teams to support customer commitments and business targets.
Another important part of the role is handling freight-related invoices, ensuring timely payment processing, and keeping shipment records organized and accurate. Strong communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities are needed to manage multiple shipments and work effectively under pressure.
