Key responsibilities

• Handle on-site diagnostics and repairs for hardware faults, peripheral issues, and local connectivity problems that cannot be fixed remotely.
• Carry out physical installations, relocations, and expansions of Windows workstations, Huawei switches, access points, and VoIP handsets.
• Provide smart hands assistance to senior infrastructure engineers, including server replacement tasks, cable patching, and firewall rack installation.
• Record and manage field work orders in OpenText SMAX, including travel time, resolution details, and inventory parts used.

Qualifications

• Bring 3 to 4 years of practical experience in desktop support, field service, or IT technician work.
• Have strong hands-on troubleshooting ability for PC hardware, along with basic familiarity with Huawei/Cisco patch panels, Windows operating systems, and VMware.
• Hold a valid local driver’s license and be prepared to travel regularly between project locations.

Preferred certifications

• CompTIA A+ or Network+
