Role overview
This position focuses on keeping a technology-driven workplace operating efficiently every day. The successful person will help maintain a safe, productive, and well-managed office environment where employees can work comfortably and effectively.
The role suits someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work, thrives in a busy setting, and has an interest in technology and the gaming sector. A proactive approach, adaptability, and a willingness to solve problems as they arise are important.
The role is based in Dublin and requires attendance on site five days per week.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a first point of contact for workplace-related issues and ensure requests are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
- Maintain the office environment, including general upkeep and ensuring equipment and systems remain in working order.
- Support office relocations, desk arrangements, and the maintenance of accurate floor plans and workplace records.
- Monitor building systems such as HVAC and BMS, investigate issues, and escalate problems when necessary.
- Coordinate with building management and technical stakeholders to support smooth day-to-day operations.
- Use internal platforms to record and manage requests, assets, and facilities activity.
- Run the helpdesk process, ensuring tickets are captured, monitored, and closed within required timelines.
- Support health and safety procedures and help ensure workplace processes are followed correctly.
- Assist with administrative tasks such as raising purchase orders and processing invoices.
- Organise contractors and vendors, including scheduling, site access, and overseeing work when needed.
- Track equipment, assets, and warranty information.
- Partner with different teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow across the workplace.
- Identify opportunities to improve operations, particularly through better use of technology and systems.
- Support daily office requirements such as supplies and on-site services.
- Contribute to projects and take on additional tasks as required.
What you should bring
- Previous exposure to facilities, workplace, or operations work.
- Strong interest in technology and modern office environments.
- Interest in the gaming industry would be a distinct advantage.
- Experience with facilities or helpdesk tools such as Maximo, Concept, or similar systems is beneficial.
- Working knowledge of building services such as HVAC and BMS is an added advantage.
- Practical, resourceful, and comfortable solving problems independently.
- Clear communication skills and a service-oriented, customer-first approach.
- Ability to manage several tasks at once and stay organised in a fast-moving environment.
- Confidence using spreadsheets and handling data.
- Awareness of health and safety practices is desirable.
- Flexible, collaborative, and able to adapt as priorities change.
