Role Overview
This position is centered on planning, allocating, and improving the use of resources across the sales function. The goal is to make sure the sales team has the people, tools, and budget needed to deliver on targets and timelines efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate how people, tools, and financial resources are assigned across sales support projects and initiatives.
- Partner with sales managers to ensure the team has the resources required to meet business goals.
- Track how resources are being used and make adjustments to improve productivity and efficiency.
- Support manpower planning by forecasting staffing needs based on pipeline activity, workload, and upcoming sales plans.
- Work with HR and other internal teams to ensure suitable talent is available for sales support tasks.
- Organize schedules and assignments for support staff so important sales activities are properly covered.
- Oversee the budget for sales support operations and ensure spending is controlled and effective.
- Monitor expenses linked to tools, technology, and personnel, and share utilization updates with senior management.
- Look for ways to reduce costs and improve resource use without affecting the quality of support.
- Handle the adoption, deployment, and improvement of sales support tools such as CRM systems, reporting tools, and communication platforms.
- Ensure all systems are current, connected properly, and helping sales processes run smoothly.
- Train team members on correct use of sales support systems to improve output.
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports that show how resources are being used and performing.
- Provide insights to senior leadership to help with planning and better allocation decisions.
- Identify opportunities to improve allocation practices and strengthen overall sales support efficiency.
- Collaborate with sales managers and business development teams to understand their support needs and respond in a timely manner.
- Act as a link between sales support and departments such as HR, Finance, and IT to keep operations running smoothly.
- Encourage coordination between teams to improve resource availability and project results.
Requirements
- BBA or MBA qualification is required.
- Having a certification in Selling is an art will be considered an advantage.
- Background in sales and distribution is expected.
- Experience working with both internal and external stakeholders is important.
- Strong capability in allocating and optimizing resources is needed.
- Good command of financial and budget management is required.
- Market awareness is also expected.
