Klir is hiring because it wants to improve how water utilities operate. The company helps teams move away from fragmented tools, scattered data, and processes that depend on institutional knowledge by bringing key operational information into one connected system. Its platform unifies sampling, monitoring, permits, backflow, and reuse so utilities can work with clearer workflows, better continuity, and faster decisions.
Supported by Insight Partners, Bowery Capital, and Spider Capital, Klir is growing quickly in the digital water sector. The company is looking for an Executive Assistant & Office Lead to support senior leadership, keep the Toronto office running smoothly, and help internal teams stay organized and responsive.
Role overview
This position is based in Toronto and follows a hybrid schedule with two in-office days each week. It exists to support a fast-paced founder-led leadership team so that priorities stay on track and important work does not get dropped. The role connects the CEO, COO, and CPO with the broader leadership team and business functions, while also ensuring the Toronto office reflects the company culture and operates effectively.
Executive support
- Manage calendars and email for the CEO, COO, and CPO, using good judgment to filter what needs attention immediately, what can wait, and what should not be escalated.
- Prepare for executive and senior leadership meetings, capture decisions and action items, and follow through to keep accountability visible.
- Help assemble board and investor materials by gathering information, shaping the story, and polishing presentations so they are accurate and consistent with the company brand.
- Write and refine internal and external communications on behalf of the executive team.
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives where senior leaders sponsor the work but another person must manage the operational detail.
- Support the translation of company strategy into quarterly team goals and help keep those goals active and visible throughout the quarter.
Toronto office leadership
- Oversee day-to-day office operations, including vendors, supplies, and overall space management.
- Serve as a visible part of the Toronto team experience by welcoming new hires, organizing team activities, and helping the office feel aligned with the company culture.
- Act as a local contact for physical, in-office needs and help maintain two-way communication between leadership and global teams.
- Support the SLT by being a reliable point of contact for anything that requires someone on site.
Shared services support
- Assist with onboarding logistics, contract coordination, and other administrative workflows as needed.
- Coordinate with IT on devices and access for Toronto-based employees.
- Handle urgent tasks that cut across functions and require fast follow-through.
- Help with event planning, communications, and logistics, including occasional support for the Dublin office when required.
What Klir is looking for
Klir is less focused on a fixed number of years in an executive assistant role and more interested in how a candidate thinks and works in fast-moving environments. The right person is comfortable making decisions with incomplete information, bringing order to messy situations, and handling sensitive work with discretion.
Suitable backgrounds may include executive assistant or personal assistant work, operations, project management, chief of staff support, office management, startup generalist roles, or another path that clearly demonstrates the same level of judgment and capability.
Compensation, benefits, and timing
The salary range for this role is CAD $90,000 to $100,000 per year. The company also offers a Canadian benefits package and unlimited vacation. Travel may be required occasionally for company or leadership events.
