Drink Runner

Position Overview

As a Drink Runner, you will help keep service running smoothly by moving beverages from the bar to guests quickly, accurately, and professionally. Reporting to the Hospitality Manager and working with direction from the Bar Manager, this role is key to creating a polished guest experience and supporting efficient bar operations at the Atlanta venue.

What You’ll Do

You will act as the connection between the bar team and the guest area, ensuring drinks arrive fresh and on time. The role also includes supporting the back-of-house bar setup by replenishing clean glassware, tidying service areas, and keeping stations organized and ready for a busy shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver drinks to guests promptly, accurately, and courteously across the venue.
• Support bar operations behind the scenes by maintaining clean glassware, restocking service points, and keeping workstations orderly.
• Coordinate with bartenders, servers, and other support staff to maintain clear communication and a smooth service flow.
• Adhere to hygiene, health, and safety practices when handling drinks and assisting bar service.
• Represent the venue with a guest-first attitude, professional conduct, and high-energy service.

Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in a restaurant or bar support role is helpful, though not mandatory.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving, high-pressure hospitality environment.
• Strong teamwork skills and a proactive approach to helping others.
• Careful attention to order accuracy and presentation standards.
• Clear, respectful communication across team members and departments.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays when needed.
• Readiness to learn new systems and procedures and successfully complete required training with a score of 90% or above.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and keep pace in an active service setting.

Physical Requirements

This role may involve frequent sitting for brief periods, regular use of phones and cloud-based video conferencing, and constant handling of objects. Team members may need to lift up to 10 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds when required, including lifting from floor to shoulder and occasionally overhead. The job also involves frequent twisting, reaching, grasping, standing, and walking for extended periods, as well as working in both hot and cold conditions. In a compact workspace, occasional contact with other team members may occur. Frequent handwashing and sanitation are required, and the role may include using knives, slicing tools, and other food preparation equipment. Clear communication with guests and coworkers, along with the ability to operate handheld and desktop devices, is essential.
