Data Management Development Lead

Job Purpose

The Data Management Development Lead will head the design, governance, and enhancement of technical data and document management platforms that back operational activities and digital transformation efforts. This position is centered on managing metadata, delivering digital document solutions, supporting application development, improving data quality, and connecting multiple enterprise systems to build a TAG-focused digital environment.

Key Activities

• Keep technical records and metadata complete, accurate, and available when needed.
• Administer and improve digital document management tools so they stay aligned with business goals.
• Contribute to digital transformation programs, Digital Twin initiatives, and data governance workstreams.
• Promote ongoing improvements in document retrieval, information quality, and operational performance.
• Make sure all work follows company procedures, standards, and governance requirements for data.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Information Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, or another closely related field.
• At least 15 years of professional experience in document control, data management, digital information management, or project information management in Oil & Gas, Energy, or Industrial environments.
• Hands-on exposure to large EPC/EPCIC projects and operational assets.
• Solid experience with metadata management, document control systems, and structured data environments.
• Background in digital transformation, Digital Twin programs, and process automation initiatives.
• Understanding of enterprise system integration, including SAP and engineering data platforms.

Additional Information

This role is based onsite in Ras Laffan, Al Khor and Al Thakhira, Qatar, and is offered on a contract basis. The position supports a TAG-centric digital ecosystem and involves close coordination across multidisciplinary teams and enterprise platforms.
