Role Overview
The Credentialing Specialist will oversee the full credentialing workflow for clinical team members, making sure all records are complete, accurate, and aligned with company and customer standards. This role covers credentialing across multiple healthcare facilities and includes tracking licenses, certifications, background checks, and related compliance documents.
This is a fully remote position, but applicants must live in one of the listed hiring locations. The ideal candidate works well independently, is highly organized and detail-driven, and can coordinate effectively with internal teams, clinical leaders, healthcare facilities, and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage credentialing for clinical staff across several healthcare facilities.
- Partner with clinical leadership to define and uphold credentialing documentation standards for all clinical personnel.
- Verify that licenses, certifications, background checks, and other required documents remain current, complete, and accurate.
- Keep detailed credentialing records and support compliance with healthcare regulations and facility standards.
- Act as a liaison between healthcare facilities, the credentialing function, and vascular access nurse specialists, including responding to questions and sharing credentialing updates.
- Support client billing after credentialing services when required.
- Work with internal teams to improve workflows and complete credentialing tasks on time.
- Coordinate with customers to understand facility-specific credentialing requirements and ensure all conditions are satisfied.
- Conduct regular file audits and resolve missing items, discrepancies, or other issues.
- Deliver courteous and professional service to both internal stakeholders and external customers throughout the credentialing process.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for records, reports, and communication.
- Partner with clinical management to arrange in-person orientations.
- Submit authorization orders for updates to clinical team credential information.

Compensation
Pay is determined by the candidate’s experience and relevant certifications. The hourly rate falls between $20 and $24 USD.
