Role overview
Inizio Engage works with a major biotechnology partner across Commercial, Patient Solutions, and Medical Affairs functions. The organization is hiring a Clinical Educator to provide educational support to healthcare professionals and office teams in primary care and specialist settings within an assigned disease area.
In this role, you will deliver disease-state education using approved materials and work in line with program requirements, compliance standards, and expectations set by company leadership and the client.
What you will do
- Deliver detailed disease-state and care-management education to healthcare providers.
- Build strong working relationships with target customers and stakeholders through approved educational content.
- Follow all legal, regulatory, and compliance rules in every discussion, activity, and material used.
- Operate within the client-defined boundaries while coordinating with field colleagues.
- Complete all required company and client training, along with competency checks, within the assigned deadlines.
- Keep accurate records of daily office interactions and complete required reports.
- Log time and expenses using the designated company systems.
- Maintain any required professional registration or licensure under company rules and state law.
- Attend local or national meetings and conferences when asked to stay current and share best practices.
- Care for client and company tools, equipment, and materials according to instructions.
- Work in compliance with internal policies, the code of conduct, and external industry regulations.
- Remain reachable during working hours to respond to inquiries and carry out job duties.
- Hold a valid full U.S. driver's license at all times and report any violations or added penalty points immediately.
- Manage the assigned territory effectively and travel as required, including overnight trips.
- Take on additional tasks as needed.
- This role does not involve nursing care, medical advice, treatment recommendations, or promotion of pharmaceutical products.
Requirements
- Licensed healthcare professional with an active state license; respiratory therapist or registered nurse background is preferred.
- Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, BSN, or equivalent experience gained in a related role.
- At least 3 years of experience in a specific disease area or a closely related field; respiratory experience is preferred.
- Prior experience in pharma or biotech as a clinical educator or in sales is preferred.
- Strong professional communication and presentation abilities.
- Comfortable speaking with physicians and office personnel across different functions.
- Good interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize effectively.
- Proven ability to balance multiple responsibilities and territory demands.
- Highly self-motivated and proactive.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and maintaining clinical knowledge.
- Willing to travel up to 75%, including overnight stays, and must live within the assigned territory.
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds and use standard office equipment.
Compensation and benefits
The base salary for this position is $88,000 to $163,000 per year. Final pay will depend on experience, skills, internal pay alignment, and business requirements.
