About the Role

Procons Innovations Pvt. Ltd., which operates as the authorized franchise partner for Amore Gelato & Café, is looking to add energetic, service-minded cafe staff to its outlets in Kadavanthra and Lulu Mall, Kochi. This position is suited to people who enjoy desserts, like interacting with customers, and are comfortable in a busy retail food-service setting.

What You’ll Do

• Serve gelato, shakes, drinks, and café menu items accurately and with a warm approach.
• Handle customer interactions at the counter and deliver prompt, courteous service.
• Use the POS system to enter orders, accept payments, and resolve routine customer questions.
• Prepare and assemble menu items according to standard operating procedures.
• Keep product quality, presentation, and portion sizes consistent.
• Support basic food prep tasks such as plating, warming, garnishing, and packing.
• Work closely with kitchen and bakery teams so orders are completed smoothly and on time.
• Keep the café/kiosk clean, including counters, equipment, and customer-facing areas.
• Restock gelato, beverages, packaging supplies, and other day-to-day operating materials.
• Maintain food safety, hygiene, sanitation, and quality practices throughout the shift.
• Store and handle ingredients and prepared items correctly.
• Track inventory levels and alert the supervisor or store manager when supplies run low.
• Support opening and closing duties as assigned in the roster.
• Participate in upselling, suggesting products, sampling, and promotional efforts to improve sales and customer experience.
• Follow company rules, SOPs, safety steps, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of experience in food and beverage, retail, or hospitality.
• Comfortable communicating at a basic level in Malayalam and English.
• Must bring a positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and strong customer-service focus.
• Should be neat, well-groomed, and presentable.
• Must already be in Kochi or be willing to move there.
• Students currently studying Hotel Management, Hospitality, or Tourism are preferred.

Working Hours

The role involves rotational full-time shifts.

• Amore Kochi (Café): 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM or 3:00 PM to 1:00 AM.
• Lulu Mall Kochi (Kiosk): 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 1:30 PM to 11:30 AM.
