Role summary

As the Inbound & Events Business Development Representative, you will be the first point of contact for prospects who show interest in Komodor through forms, webinar registrations, demos, and event interactions such as booth visits at KubeCon. Your focus will be on fast, thoughtful follow-up that turns marketing-generated demand and event conversations into qualified opportunities for the sales team.

This role calls for someone highly motivated, sharp, and persistent about speed-to-lead. You should be able to work independently, communicate clearly, quickly grasp the product, and connect the platform’s value to a prospect’s pain points. You will collaborate closely with Marketing on campaigns and events and thrive in a lively conference environment.

This opportunity is based in the United States, with a preference for candidates located on the East Coast.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the first responder for inbound interest, including form submissions, content downloads, webinar and demo requests, and chat inquiries, while maintaining fast and high-quality follow-up.
  • Manage the full event pipeline by doing pre-event outreach to secure booth meetings, qualifying prospects live during events, and completing structured post-event follow-up so no qualified lead is left unattended.
  • Assess inbound and event-driven interest against the ideal customer profile, book qualified meetings, and route or disqualify leads appropriately so sales focuses on the strongest opportunities.
  • Work closely with Marketing on campaigns, webinars, and field events, and share feedback on lead quality and messaging to improve future performance.
  • Support inbound opportunities with targeted outbound activity to highly engaged accounts and prospects.
  • Design and test creative outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other relevant social or community channels.
  • Learn each prospect’s pain points, understand why they are engaging with Komodor, and communicate how the platform can help achieve their desired business outcome.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of sales or customer-facing experience, preferably in a BDR or SDR capacity at a software or SaaS company; startup exposure and experience working inbound or event-led pipeline are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Comfort interacting with people at live events and conferences, including engaging strangers, qualifying quickly, and following up with high volume; some travel is required.
  • Strong emphasis on speed and discipline in handling leads, with the ability to respond quickly, qualify carefully, and maintain an organized pipeline.
  • Interest in the B2D space and willingness to speak with technical buyers and learn about Cloud, DevOps, and developer tooling.
  • Experience tailoring outreach and qualification for technical ideal customer profiles such as Platform Engineers, DevOps professionals, and Kubernetes specialists.
  • Hands-on experience with lead generation and CRM or sales tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo, Salesforce, and Outreach.
  • Exposure to Kubernetes, observability, monitoring, or APM tools is a strong advantage.
