Role overview
Maltem Asia is hiring an Application Support Analyst for a wealth management client in Singapore. The position focuses on supporting enterprise applications and keeping them running smoothly and efficiently.
Key responsibilities
- Keep an eye on production applications through monitoring platforms and dashboards, and act quickly when signs of trouble appear.
- Handle incidents end to end, restore service with minimal business disruption, and record both the issue and the resolution.
- Investigate recurring problems to identify the underlying cause and put preventive fixes in place.
- Partner with development, QA, and operations teams to diagnose and resolve application-related issues.
- Review application performance and carry out tuning actions to improve stability and speed.
- Support release and patch deployments while reducing impact to live services.
- Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation for support procedures, incident fixes, and system setup details.
- Assist end users and business stakeholders with production application queries and support requests.
- Look for ways to improve processes and automate routine work to make support more reliable and efficient.
Required background and experience
The role requires a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline, along with at least 5 years of practical experience in application support or development.
Candidates should bring hands-on exposure to Python, SQL, Unix, Java, AWS, Datadog, CI/CD pipelines, and Git. Strong written and spoken communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
The ideal applicant is quick to learn, adaptable to change, comfortable working in an agile environment, and able to contribute as a collaborative team player. Strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve complex problems are also important. Experience with SDLC implementation and/or agile delivery methods such as Scrum and Kanban will be valuable.
