Application Engineer (Air Operated Pumps)

About the Role

This position is for an Application Engineer who has a background in electrical pumps or mechatronics and can serve as the main technical link between customers and the company.

The role focuses on helping customers choose, implement, and use technical products effectively, with hands-on involvement in product design, issue resolution, and application testing.

You will work closely with teams such as product development, purchasing, order processing, and assembly to deliver dependable technical solutions and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical contact for both customers and internal sales colleagues.
• Configure and adapt products to suit specific customer applications.
• Develop customized technical quotations based on customer needs.
• Bridge communication between engineering, purchasing, order processing, and assembly teams.
• Assist with post-sale support and troubleshoot technical challenges alongside development engineers.
• Represent the company at trade shows and contribute to technical discussions.
• Provide product training to customers.
• Run application trials using internal test equipment and create clear technical documentation for different audiences.
• Collect customer input and support ongoing improvement efforts.

Your Profile

• Prior experience in air operated pumps or the flow industry is required.
• A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another related technical discipline is preferred; technician-level training is also acceptable.
• Up to 2 years of relevant experience in application engineering or technical support is expected.
• Experience working in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong spoken and written German and English skills.
