Academic Research Analyst

Role Overview

This contractor role is for an Academic Researcher working remotely. The engagement can be structured as either full-time or part-time, with a weekly commitment ranging from 10 to 40 hours. Compensation is set at $20 to $60 per hour.

Core Work

• Build, format, and quality-check detailed documents in Word and PDF, making use of advanced functions such as tracked edits and data extraction.
• Work alongside teams across legal, healthcare, policy, and finance functions to support a variety of assignments.
• Convert dense research material into polished reports and presentations aligned with Fortune 500-level expectations.
• Assess and combine academic papers, legal records, and industry information to shape project direction.
• Maintain accuracy, consistency, and adherence to the specified standards in every deliverable.

Candidate Profile

• Applicants should bring relevant professional background in academic research, legal, policy, healthcare, or a related field.
• A Master’s degree, PhD, or JD from a recognized institution is required.
• Strong capability in preparing and reviewing Word and PDF files, including tracked changes and data extraction, is essential.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills, together with strong attention to detail, are expected.
• The person must be comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a remote, deadline-focused setting.
• Prior experience working with multidisciplinary teams on complex outputs is needed.
